I have been incredibly lucky to have travelled around the world on photography assignments, but India had always been one place that remained un-ticked on my bucket list… until last year! I was spell-bound by the country, falling instantly in love with the colours, the people, the culture….
Infact, 2015 held a great deal of Indian spice in one way or another. Two multi-day Indian weddings hosted in the UK, an incredible 5 day adventure assignment in Rajasthan (blog post to feature shortly), and a beautiful, romantic engagement shoot for a India & Vik. One of the things I love about our job is that so often we keep in touch with our couples long after their wedding. Pregnancy, babies, children, grand-children… all magical moments capture.
Larissa’s pregnancy shoot was incredibly special. Only a year before, I was photographing their beautiful wedding day at The Mandarin Oriental in London. Who was to know what exciting chapter lay so close ahead of them?!… Continue reading “A special Bump Shoot”
A few months ago the fabulous Kelly Chandler from The Bespoke Wedding Company asked if I would do a lifestyle shoot of her with her husband and daughter Neve. We’ve known Kelly now for eight years, and have had the pleasure of working with her on a number of amazing weddings over that time. Continue reading “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt!”
One of the things I love about our job is that we often have returning clients coming back time and time again as the years pass by. We get to see their families grow up, and recording those special moments is such an honour. Continue reading “Happy Days on West Wittering Beach”
Spring and Summer are definitely the most popular months for family lifestyle photoshoots. When I booked a shoot with a family where the father has the same name as my own father in law, they have similar Scottish connections to me, and their daughter shares my name, I knew it was going to be a great shoot. Continue reading “Fun in the Park. A Spring Lifestyle Shoot”
Even though Winter is very much here, we still have so much to blog from the Summer. Loads of weddings to come soon, but for now we thought we’d post this lovely family shoot.
A big thank you to Jane, Will, Lily and Jasmine…you made my job so much fun!! Continue reading “Beach Life – A Lifestyle Photoshoot on West Wittering Beach”
In September last year we were able to celebrate the slowing down of wedding season 2011 with a trip to the West Country. The trip however, wasn’t totally R&R. We had the opportunity to stay at a fantastic holiday home for 3 nights in St. Ives in turn for taking some photographs of the property. Continue reading “Time to Mix Work With a Little R&R”
I couldn’t resist blogging this shoot… simply because the Chaumeton’s really are one of the loveliest families you could ever meet. Lucie, Keith, and their children, Katie and Pip, came down from north London to spend a day in Petworth just before Christmas. We did the shoot first thing that morning, and while they were digging into a hearty pub lunch at our local, I edited the photographs ready for their viewing at our studio later that afternoon. Continue reading “A Winter Photoshoot in Petworth Park”
We have absolutely loved photographing Tanya & Jim over the course of 2011. It began with their beach eShoot back in July, and then of course their b-e-a-u-t-f-u-l wedding that we blogged last month.
So all that remained to make their story complete, was a family shoot with their lovely 3 children, Beatrix, Huxley and Boux, which we did shortly after they returned from their honeymoon. What a perfect ending to their LIFE Book!

One of the reasons we love being photographers is the joy our images give to people. A truly rewarding shoot we did in 2010 was a voluntary shoot for the charity Portage – a home-visiting educational service for pre-school children with additional support needs and their families.
